| 2010 COBRAS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP The club Championship Series will be ACA style scoring and points will be earned for the top three finishes in time trials, hill climbs, criteriums, road races, one team time trial (double points), and participation in one stage race or Omnium (double points). Circuit races on the ACA schedule will be considered a road race for the Championship Series. In addition double points will be earned for KHMTT, BCMTT and Rocky Mountain Senior Games and single points for the Deer Creek Hill Climb. Your results from each race at Rocky Mountain Senior Games will be totaled to determine place standings by category (RR and TT) from those games. Double points can be earned if you race in all 4 races. Additionally, you will receive 15 points for riding in the Tour de Cure. You can pick any race from the ACA SCHEDULE IN YOUR AGE GROUP (except practice crits in March) YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO ANY RACE TO QUALIFY FOR A COBRAS TROPHY…..JUST NEED TO WATCH YOUR COMPETITORS AS AN EXAMPLE YOU MAY NOT NEED TO DO A CRIT(S) IF YOU ARE ENOUGH POINTS AHEAD. | Result from Mt. Evans. Thanks! Dave Bickel encouraged me to go for it after we did a final training ride to the top on July 11th. I didn't want to do it if I couldn't break 4 hours, but thanks to Coach Christie's guidance and a miraculous corrective bike fit by Corky, I took 40+ minutes off my previous training time. |
